The Sound Laboratory
Clive Craske extends Brighton & Hove’s weird tentacles all over the airwaves every Sunday 10-11pm, repeated Tuesday at midnight, Saturday 3am.
The Sound Laboratory show covers all exciting and challenging musical genres not well served by other radio shows. It supports the experimental and improv scene in Brighton & Hove and the surrounding area by playing recordings from performances, such as those put on by Safehouse, Spirit Of Gravity, Colour Out Of Space and Aural Detritus. These are interspersed with up-to-date releases in the areas of ambient, contemporary classical, electronica, sound art, field recordings, improv, free jazz, noise and so on plus choice recordings from the Laboratory’s extensive vaults.
