Radio Training Workshops

RadioReverb is now an approved Creative Skillset training centre for the South East and we're pleased to announce our regular training courses, which we'll be adding to. Bursaries are available for some people returning to radio via the Skillset Diversity Fund.

We are also exploring opportunities for grants to subsidise training for groups in the local community, and are also happy to discuss training needs tailored to your organisation or client group, or one-to-one training. Radio Presenter’s Workshop

A one-day intensive workshop including the following skills:

- Interview techniques

- Programme planning, timing and production

- Self-operating a mixing desk

- Microphone techniques

- Effective cue writing

- Communicating with an audience

- Playing out audio using professional broadcast software

- Legal considerations and broadcast law

Cost: £90/ £60 concs (with proof in advance)

Feature Making Workshop

A two-day intensive workshop including the following skills:

- Interview techniques

- Using a portable recorder

- Recording interviews and vox pops

- Microphone and recording techniques

- Planning and selecting content for maximum impact

- Digital sound editing

- Effective cue writing

- Legal considerations and broadcast law

Time: 10am-5pm each day

Cost: £170/ £120 concs (with proof in advance)

All courses are booked on a first come, first served basis and there are a maximum of six places per workshop. Please contact us using the form below to find the best payment method to suit you.

Bursaries:

RadioReverb is an accredited Creative Skillset Training Provider so bursaries may be available to meet 80% of course costs for anyone eligible for a Skillset grant. Eligible people are: women returners, people of BME origin returning to the radio industry, people with disabilities returning to the radio industry. Access:

Please note that RadioReverb’s premises are up a flight of stairs. If accessibility means you are unable to attend a training course we will be pleased to run a training course specifically for people with access needs in an external venue. Please contact us for details.
