ARIAS nominated drama comes to RadioReverb

21st October 2017

Starting Friday 27th October, you can catch a 5 night long run of the ARIAS nominated Blood Culture nightly from 10PM on Brighton’s RadioReverb.

Blood Culture is a bio-medical thriller series which explores 21st century anxieties of the harvesting of personal data, exploitation of Millennial interns and the pervasiveness of corporate control in our everyday lives.

The series is a C21st whodunnit (or more of a “what is the evil corporation doing?”) that is told as a high-octane drama by a pair of uncompromising women. The story doesn’t just exist in your ear buds – it blows out across the web in films, blogs, web-sites and interactive phone experience. The accompanying show website has links, phone numbers, films and audio that you can use to piece together the mystery of what Meta are doing to their workers.

Everything you hear in this series is completely true (well the science is) and is the result of consultation with experts and scientists at Imperial College London, University of West England, University of Bristol, University of Sussex, University Brighton and University of East Anglia. We spoke to a lot of profs and docs to make sure we got this right!

The series is produced by Brighton based Lance Dann for Resonance 104.4FM and the series is funded by the Wellcome Trust and supported by the University of Sussex and the University of Brighton.

The show was nominated for an ARIA award in the category of Best Fictional Storytelling and was the Number 1 arts podcast on iTunes in the UK in April 2017!!!!
